L'IMPERMEABILE

Loyal to our maxim: "Fashion is what is not fashionable." L’Impermeabile means “the raincoat” in Italian, a literal homage to the impermeable nature of its signature water-wicking trench coats. A third-generation company founded by the Landi family in 1948, L’Impermeabile remains based in Empoli – a small town in the heart of Tuscany which bears more than a century’s worth of historical significance as one of the foremost leading raincoat producers in the world. The company holds its vintage sketches in high regard, advocating that a reverence for authenticity, history, and craftsmanship - enlivened by new technical fabrics and sustainable practices - remains the only way to protect the trench’s legacy against fast fashion.
