Our story begins in Florence way back in 1971… fifty years ago now! Vittorio is only 24 years old but has already gained 10 years of experience as a cutter and feels he has acquired the skills and knowledge needed to create a company that is all his own. Without external help, other than the enthusiasm and support of his very young wife Sonia, he decides to open his own business that he calls Claudia, choosing the name of his 3-year-old daughter. It is a historic moment in which Italy, and Tuscany in particular, stands out for the production of vegetable-tanned cowhide bags: a true cultural heritage of our territory. After having obtained excellent results in Europe, America and Australia, while Italy conquers world leadership in the world of fashion, Vittorio decides to expand the offer of models and materials. Claudia Firenze bags are made with the newest leathers, and Vittorio adapts the structure and organization to the increasingly complex needs of foreign markets. It was a winning choice: the company expanded and at the end of the 1990s Vittorio was joined by his children Claudia and Filippo, who contributed to forming a winning synergy between acquired knowledge and a youthful and creative drive. Over the last twenty-five years, Claudia Firenze has continued to grow and today finds itself perfectly inserted in the cultural and artisanal tradition of leather and hide processing in Tuscany. Constantly projected towards renewal and change, the company is still led by the family today.
