To leave, to go, to get lost and find oneself along the roads, where the journey becomes a metaphor for style. Travelling the highways through arid deserts and canyons, stopping off at dusty motels along the way, wandering down roads leading to the ocean, accompanied by the notes of rock’n’roll. The journey itself is the destination. This is the imagery from which we drew inspiration for the B.yu SS24 collection, which expresses, through colors, materials and shapes the spirit of freedom, the intrepidness and eclecticism of our contemporary woman. A collection that wants us to discover the importance of ‘movement’ in the world and in life. The collection consists of many natural fibers. The knitwear features carry-over linen and lurex, which create transparencies and overlaps; viscose is enriched with new knit stitches, fringes and patterns; sequins contrast with rustic-looking cotton, which is characterized by colored jacquards, mixes of stripes and inlays. The tie-dyeing also contributes to recreate the imagery of our ‘on the road’ journey, both on cotton knitwear and viscose satin. In the collection, plain satin is enriched with new models, added to which are those in two-tone and printed satin, for everyday use but also for special occasions. The everyday materials include poplin, chambray and denim, or t-shirt materials such as modaI, muslin and jersey, the latter either plain or in large and thin stripes with great graphic impact. Other stripes are found in the cotton and linen shirting fabrics. The look of the linen is especially important, rustic and eye-catching with its natural and pastel colors, and contrasts with special-occasion and evening materials such as taffeta, georgette, laminated fabric or silk blend. As with every season, the prints have great personality: from cashmere reinterpreted and mixed with stripes, to mottled effects, shaded polka dots, and even prints with an ethnic flavor, all contributing to an eclectic and unique proposal. Unique just like the B.yu woman, who knows how to express herself and be feminine and daring even on her enterprising journey in the name of freedom
