For the modern woman who loves to change her look every day

TreBarraBi is a sophisticated ‘back to basics’ company founded in Bergamo, Lombardy, in 2015. Designed and created by Cinzia Ghirlandi, this women’s ready to wear collection offers easy solutions to a woman’s every day needs. Boasting a ‘green’ approach to fashion with an artisanal touch, the line offers casualwear developed using natural and sustainable materials like linen and cotton, without the oil components that are prevalent in the manufacturing process. Sustainability is one of the driving forces leading the future of the garment industry and Cinzia Ghirlandi simple garments have helped the brand gain a following.

Her customers appreciate her approach to design, the fit, and respect her commitment to minimally impact the environment. “I wanted to make simple garments that could fit any silhouette, with soft but at the same time feminine and sophisticated volumes” Ghirlandi recently stated. Her collections focus on layering. Wide leg trousers and dresses, which are her signature staples, are worn under dresses, layered over skirts to create a play on volumes that is flattering and gives flow and movement without hugging the body. The offering includes soft deconstructed jackets that can be worn for casual or dressier occasions.

The neutral tones are ideal for layering, and have a universal appeal. A toned down nautical stripe, with solid, off-white details on the sleeve distinguishes the design. A white top is styled with an ample scarf and tied on the front offering easy tips to create a look that’s flattering and feminine. When Cinzia Ghirlandi first launched, she sold her designs on demand, driving her small ApeCar directly to clients. Today, the business has grown to exceed forty five thousand units per season and counting.

After launching her boutique in Bergamo, she opened a showroom in Milan, and now enjoys distribution throughout a wholesale network of multi brand stores that offer a mid to high-level price point. Japan is a strong market for the brand, which bodes well for Cinzia Ghirlandi as many companies have enjoyed success once the Japanese — big consumers of fashion — embrace a designer. Russia is showing potential growth as well, with plans for distribution and expansion that is looking to include Hong Kong. Closer to home, Cinzia Ghirlandi has her sights set on Germany, another big consumer of women’s high-end quality products.

TreBarraBi is also looking to expand and test the waters in the US market, where elegant, well-crafted basics with a comfortable fit are bound to enjoy a strong following. The muted, soft palettes are feminine and understated, cut to flatter the figure without hugging it. On trend, yet timeless, the designs have a youthful spirit that appeals to all ages. In true Made in Italy spirit, the use of quality materials and attention to detail, paired with skilled workmanship, is quickly turning this small brand into one to watch.
